MAJOR ACHIEVEMENT- Never at club level, 20 years last time in the region

Bateau Bay is the State Open Pennants Grade 1 Champions.

After a slow start through the sectional rounds, but still finishing top of their section, they stepped up a notch heading into the final series.

A comfortable win in the quarters finals against Inverell advanced them to the semi-finals.

The match against Campbelltown was a nail biter, down to the last end with a win 60 – 57.

Onto the final and up against the current champions – Corrimal. A great game with the big board changing on several times. Bateau came home strong, running out WINNERS and new CHAMPIONS.

A shoutout to all the other teams who represented Central Region during the state pennant playoffs – great effort by all.
